Welcome to our web site and God bless you for coming.  For those of you who don't know us, we are an Orthodox Christian family who moved to Albania in May of 2003 and joined the dedicated team of Orthodox Christians who are serving Christ by offering their services as missionaries. Our family members are George, Pauline, Christopher(8) and Madeline(5) Russell.  Our missionary family also includes Melanie Linderman, Pauline's mother. This web site will help y0u learn more about Orthodox Missions in general and our missionary projects which focus on feeding the poor, education, and business development.

 

"RUN FOR ALBANIA" - On Oct. 21st, 2007, George will run in the Detroit Free Press Marathon to increase awareness of Orthodox Missions and to raise funds for our mission work in Albania. We have created a new web site specifically for this event at:

ENGLISH CAMP 2007!
From August 6th until August 15th, we helped host an OCMC short term mission team that came to Albania to put on 2nd annual English Camp.  Pauline was the organizer and director of this event once the team reached Albania.  Read about the ups, downs, and many blessings of her experience in this article.

ANOTHER BAPTISM
On August 1st, George baptized a 14 year old Albanian girl named Lydia Muca.  After getting to know Lydia's father from just talking to him in our neighborhood, George found out the Lydia was interested in catechism in the Orthodox Church.  After she completed her catechism, the family asked George to be her koumbari.
